Paul Coffey signes through the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto. I got my Pittsburgh cards signed within a month. But a friend told me, that he does not sign Detroit Red Wings cards .

Writing to Hall of Fame

www.hhof.com. Look around the site, they tell you how to write to HOF members through them. Basically, you send a sealed letter for them to forward, make sure to include SASE as usual, but beware, you don't know what country the player lives in so you'll need to ask so you can provide him with correct postage. Also, the HOF asks for a donation, I think they want $1 or $2 per letter they forward. I've done this a few times, some successful, some not - there are a few HOF members who have asked the HOF not to foward letters - Dryden (stunning) and somebody else I can't remember.

Salming

Also -

Salming kind of broke into a new line of work for retired hockey players and started an underwear company in Finland. I forget the website, but you can find it and play around. You've got some work to do, because the whole site is in Finnish, so it is more than a little tricky to figure out the company address.
