Last year's lottery was the only one with every team included, however the lottery takes place every year to make sure a team doesn't tank on purpose. Just not sure when it occurs.

they only had draft lottery last season because no season year before.
pittsburgh should have number one pick this year.

Does anyone know what day the NHL draft lottery is? Does it occur before, during or after the playoffs?
