  • What is the future of college hockey???

For anybody who has watched the college game know how great it is. How come college hockey cant get a national tv contract? It seems like when ever the Division 1 hockey national championship is played there is always excitement in the games broadcast on espn.

Everbody remembers Gino Cavalinis 4 ot win for Bowling Green in the early 80's.

College hockey has lost 3 teams in 2 years: Iona, Fairfield, and Findley. They gained UNO, Wayne State and Robert Morris.

College coaches are legends like Ron Mason, Red Bernson, Jack Parker, and Rick Comley.

Players like Paul Karyia, Brett Hull, Curtis Joesph, Brian Leetch, Martin St Louis, and Joe Murphy.

How can we make the college hockey game more recognized nationally? Can the Hobey award be like the Heisman?

I think there a 60 teams in division one college hockey it is a great league. So please if anyone knows how college hockey can get more exposure like canada juniors please any comments ???????????????????????????///

Hockey just isn't as popular as college football and basketball. But maybe that's acceptable, since a majority of the general population is unintelligent and will therefore have poor taste. :O)

It's funny, in Canada, NCAA games are shown on The Score every so often on cable, and I think the NHL network shows a few NCAA games. This is all across Canada!
It's good hockey. I've seen games on American tv sometimes (mostly Maine Black Bears games in the Paul Kariya era when Hali's NBC was from Bangor).
At least the Frozen Four should get network coverage...
